lazy.utf8: Collection of useful UTF-8 tools for lazy boys and girls

Description

This package provides the following categories of functions. All the functions below are incluided in lazy.tools package.

IO and Data Frame Functions

• printm Print Multiple Objects with Their Names
  
  

• ReadLines: Read Lines with or without Encoding Option.

• WriteLines: Write Lines with or without Encoding Option.

Functions for Multi Byte Characters

• is.DBCS: Checks if the Characters in a String are Multi Byte Characters.

• is.MBCS: Checks if the Characters in a String are Multi Byte Characters.
  
  Examples of Shif-JIS and UTF-8 text files are included.
  Use below to find out where these files are stored:

    system.file("TestData1.txt",package="lazy.utf8")
    system.file("TestData2.txt",package="lazy.utf8")
   

• nbyte: Returns the number of bytes used to represent each character.

• nchar2: nchar using byte as the unit.

• cchar: Starting and Ending Columns of Each Character in a Text File.

• substr2: substr using column location as the unit.
  
  

• char2num: Convert a string to a numeric vector

• num2char: Convert a numeric vector to a string
